Simon Brody is a Chartered Civil Engineer and
Principal of Brody Forbes Partnership. Chartered status was gained
following six years design and site supervision experience with Wimpey
Construction. He spent four years as an Associate of a Bridport based
Engineering Consultancy before establishing Brody Forbes Partnership,
which has now been in practice for over 30 years. During his career he
has been involved with the design of many and varied structures and
associated civil engineering works, working closely with long
established Clients, including Local Authorities, Public Schools,
Limited Companies, Regional House Builders, Museum Trusts and Housing
Associations. He is also a Director of the Brit Valley Railway, and has
given interviews to local, regional and national press, local
television and radio. The Brit Valley Railway is an innovative plan to
build a new narrow gauge railway public transport link from the Harbour
to Bridport Town incorporating a Park and Ride scheme.
Simon is widely involved with links between
industry and the local community, in particular raising the profile of
engineering within primary and secondary education.
