Inspection, Maintenance, Procurement and Installation of Radomes

A radome is a structural, weatherproof enclosure that protects a radar antenna. The radome is constructed of material transparent to radio waves. Radomes protect the antenna from weather and conceal antenna electronic equipment from view.

Using its employed competent and experienced engineers, technicians and project managers, Brody Forbes is able to provide a full turnkey package, as well as being an experienced Design Authority on all types of radomes including the provision of radomes and all ancillary equipment.

As part of its turnkey service, Brody Forbes carries out the procurement, shipping and installation of the radome, together with the design and installation of any electrical and HVAC requirements.

With all radome contracts, Brody Forbes undertakes the factory acceptance tests on the radomes and their ancillary items to ensure compliance with its clients’ requirements. This involves carrying out detailed inspections of the radome panels, base rings, and ancillaries against the supplier’s drawings and site-specific requirements.

We have successfully carried out this work for a number of clients including the Ministry of Defence, and radar companies.

In addition to the turnkey service above, Brody Forbes has a team of skilled personnel who can provide the future through life support of an existing radome for its clients; providing the recommended structural appraisals, inspections, repairs, and maintenance required.

Brody Forbes also has the ability within its manufacturing facilities, and using its team of competent and skilled employees, to manufacture replacement panels if necessary.
