Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers & Steel Fabrications

Mount Pleasant, Falkland Islands

Brody Forbes were instructed by its client, Thales ATMS, to design, fabricate and install a 15.5m high steel lattice radar tower, together with an integrated equipment cabin, to support a Primary and Secondary Radar at Mount Pleasant in the Falkland Islands.

The design also allowed for the installation of a radome on top of the tower, which was also installed by Brody Forbes.

Due to the location of the site, this project involved our team working away for six weeks.  To ensure the client’s completion date was achieved, Brody Forbes adopted a flexible working schedule to ensure that all weather windows were utilised effectively.
